[Review] Smile (3.5/10)

Title - Smile
Production - Paramount Players, Temple Hill Entertainment
Starring - Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Robin Weigert, Kyle Gallner, Kal Penn, Gillian Zinser, Nick Arapoglou
Writer - Parker Finn
Director - Parker Finn
Release - 30 September 2022

I don't know what the popularity with this movie is about in America. This was another jump-scare filled, typical storytelling for a horror genre, that provided nothing new.

Protagonist gets haunted, nobody around her believe her as usual, and the weird scares had no rhyme or reason as to why they happen that way. It's terrible, apart from the performance of Sosie Bacon.

The scares, though scary, but left me just laughing at how stupid they were. Typical American horror storytellers are just bad at this. No Hollywood horror has ever left me shook like the original The Ring, The Grudge or Shutter; other than The Conjuring and What Lies Beneath. Drag Me To Hell was fun, though.
