I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed that the actual movie didn't finish as funny as what the trailer promised. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was the best trailer of the year, appealing to the Chinese part of me.

Still, there was no shortage of comedy as the plot point after plot point entered the story; though some situations weren't as great as others. I for one did not find the "sex sequence" necessary or raunch-worthy, but instead it was a bit of a turn off.

But these four ladies were great. It did feel like they held nothing back and went all-out to induce laughters from the audience. While Ashley Park and Sherry Cola were the two main characters, but it was Stephanie Hsu who stole the limelight a lot of times with some next-level acting performance. If the Oscars was tomorrow, she would be nominated for a Best Supporting award. But since the movie did not gain enough attention, that probably won't be happening for her.

And in the third act, instead of comedy it went all heart and feelings with a great performance from a seasoned actor (without spoiling it).

Of course, a highlight would be the airport scene which we had a glimpse of in the trailer. And it did live up to expectations. Just that it dipped a few times on the way there with comedy that didn't land hard enough.
