The first sequel didn't have much to offer, I'm surprised a second sequel was made; and after so many years, too.
There weren't a lot for Denzel Washington to do. He didn't even use his stopwatch that much, and the hand-to-hand combat were so much less this time; ergo, the coolness effect was just not there anymore.
And worse was, the story was very slow and draggy. There was very little happening in long stretches, but at least when there was action they were very decent. The only cool acting from Washington was when his character stared into a guy's eyes as he killed him, making sure that's the last thing he ever saw.
Dakota Fanning, too, didn't have a lot of scenes. Probably shouldn't even get second billing with such a minor role that didn't even seemed consequential, other than to provide some interesting exchange with Washington.
