Disclaimer: The only movie that I have not seen from these major categories is I'm Still Here.
Anora, this year, has been a close-to-perfection movie for me from start to finish, so that's where my vote will go to most of all.
Brady Corbet is a close second to Sean Baker for me, for what these directors achieved. Timothee Chalamet's portrayal of Bob Dylan was something real special, but this may finally be the year for Ralph Fiennes first Oscar; but it could bounce back, also, to Adrien Brody.
Jeremy Strong has been the frontrunner for me, until I saw Edward Norton in A Complete Unknown. Out of the two, I thought Norton deviated from his self more than Strong. Guy Pearce was very good too but the Academy will probably, for some reason that I don't understand, give it to Kieran Culkin.
I don't know if Hollywood was so scared of being attacked by "wokeness" that Karla Sofia Gascon would actually make the cut, because she's taking away a spot for some real heavy hitters like Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, Pamela Anderson, Angelina Jolie, and even Elle Fanning. But, Demi Moore may just take it for her legacy, not necessarily for this year's movie; much like Jamie Lee Cutis' win.
As for Supporting Actress, I also don't know if Isabella Rossellini should have made the cut. Margaret Qualley may be more qualified. But it doesn't matter because I think Zoe Saldana is a lock.
I almost didn't bother with Best Song this year because none of them are good!
