How To Lose Friends And Alienate People (5/10)

Simon Pegg doing his thing again. Some of the gags were old and boring but some really left me gagging. But none were brilliant enough to be memorable. So it was just a nice and entertaining movie good for some laughs. The story had a familiar formula to it even though there were tweaks here and there.  And again, nothing really stood out to be memorable; and a lot of scenes never even played out to their end. Some of the scenes happened just for the sake of that particular moment in time only. So progression wise, they could have improved some more for a smoother flow. But one thing that really dawned on me halfway through was that Megan Fox blatantly cannot act. She is quite talentless. She looked exactly the same whether it was here or in Jennifer's Body. Which means, Michael Bay did a fantastic job on her because I was completely fooled in both Transformers movies. Her sequence as Mother Theresa in a movie trailer was like a comedy! The more enjoyable character here was Gillian Anderson's and Jeff Bridges' but unfortunately their roles were quite small and inconsequential. And there weren't enough of Pegg's and Kristen Dunst's characters forming a relationship, enough to justify its ending. From the title of this movie, I actually thought I was going to get some lessons but it clearly wasn't in the literal sense.
