Old Dogs (3/10)

From the same director as Wild Hogs, not that Wild Hogs is worth a mention, but Old Dogs is worse off in terms of its storyline, but the gags are better.Nothing really makes sense from start to finish. The events are very episodic and very disjointed. No progression, or even an effort to make the story progress, can be found here. Things just happen to accommodate the jokes, and it's as if the two leads, John Travolta and Robin Williams, are complete idiots. One can argue too that this is targeted at children; and perhaps children wouldn't care so much for storyline as the gags are entertaining enough.  But even so, this is just a bad excuse for a movie. And it's such a shame that this has become of one great Robin Williams.I admit there are a few scenes that I laughed out loud with glee but those came very few and far in between. The multiple guest appearances did not help too but was a nice distraction from how bad the storyline was. One thing worth a mention, I believe, is that this is the late Bernie Mac's last movie he was involved in. But his scenes here are useless, pointless and unnecessary, other than to have Bernie Mac appear.
