Zombieland (7/10)

I bought into the concept and story of this movie in the first five minutes. When the young protagonist was chased by two zomies, he ran to his car, took out his keys, but dropped them due to shaky hands. The two zombies meanwhile were closing in. Instead of picking the keys up, he was smart. He ran away first. But it was the next bit that really got me. He ran around the parking lot in one full circle, putting some distance between him and the zombies. He ran back to his car, picked up the keys, opened the door and locked it after him. It was hilarious. That wasn't the end of that sequence but this was what got me.Finally, a senseless zombie movie that made sense! The movie had developed very interesting characters and even though unrelatable, but they were a lot of fun. Woody Harrelson hasn't had such a memorable role in a long while. Jesse Eisenberg could have passed as Michael Cera's brother, but he is less expressive unfortunately as Cera pulls off blank looks way better. But both played off each other well. But the storyline wasn't anything original and ran thin a couple of times. But the characters were lovable and the director was smart with his gimmicks. And the best parts of the movie was seeing the protagonist's well thought out rules came into effect.
