The A-Team (7/10)
[caption id="attachment_1529" align="alignleft" width="94" caption="(imdb.com)"][/caption]When it comes down to the core, there's not a lot of difference between The A-Team and The Losers, but this one just inched its way to the title for the better popcorn-action flick. When I first saw the trailer for The A-Team, I thought it was so bad that the movie was going to be shit. The one-liners in the trailer looked and sounded so cheesy when taken out of context but everything worked in the movie. And The A-Team did not have Jason Patric.Plus the director for the action sequences managed to inject a bit more of everything and made the scenes more funny and exciting. I liked how director Joe Carnahan gave us the back story of how each of the individuals met in a nutshell of about 10 minutes. And then after that, we went straight in to the main storyline. By doing this, the audience were more connected to each of the characters of the A-Team and understood where they came from. The story however was just as mindless as The Losers but for such a genre, again, it worked. The overall effect of the movie was purely and simply about having fun with a high entertainment value.I wasn't sure about Liam Neeson's hair but hey it grew on me with his portrayal. Bradley Cooper was a great choice to create the main story around his character, though Jessica Biel wasn't as effective. Quinton Jackson's acting wasn't up to par but in this case it didn't really matter. What I can't believe is that Sharlto Copley was never an actor before District 9 because he was really funny. What I didn't like was that nobody really got hurt even with a thousand bullets flying around, never creating a sense of danger. But again, it's that kind of genre.
