The chemistry between Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl was strong enough to make the falling-in-love believable as the next scene jumped forward to their married life. That's when the story slowed down almost to a bore as nothing interesting happened. I understand this part of the movie was to show how mundane and routine their lives have become but that didn't mean we as the audience had to be susceptible to their boredom. When the killers finally showed up, things started with a little Mr. & Mrs. Smith- like throw-down in the living room. But as they took the fights into the streets after more and more killers showed up, suddenly the whole world seemed to have abandoned the two characters as every where they went, nobody else was there, except a surprise cameo by Usher Raymond. That became the worst part for the movie. Followed by the husband and wife decided to go back to their house for supplies. I've watched enough Jack Bauer and 24 to know that the house is the last place you want to go back to as that's where everyone would expect you to go. And yet Kutcher's character who was supposed to be a spy-like killer, waltzed in there without any precaution. He even walked on the main road leading back to his house and of course someone tried to kill him there. There's no more fun when I can see how stupid the scene was.It would have been an OK movie had the storyline been more realistic but one stupid decision after another, I just can't give this a pass. But Tom Selleck and Catherine O'Hara were a pleasure to watch. I would like to see Selleck play more father figures in romantic comedies.
