Salt (7/10)
[caption id="attachment_1706" align="alignleft" width="94" caption="(imdb.com)"][/caption]It's not as unpredictable as it may seem. Definitely a nice action-thriller but you already know how it's going to end, or at least figure out who is the bad guy and who the good. How adversaries swere neutralized said it all.I thought Phillip Noyce did very well directing both on the action front as well as keeping the thrill throughout the movie. Right from when the Russian in the interrogation room claimed Salt to be a Russian spy, the momentum slowly built and built and never let up.The fight scenes albeit just basic punches and kicks, were very believable. The camera angles compromised nothing to the action. The chase scenes were also very gripping. We've already seen Salt jumped from car to car in the trailer; she continued to do a lot more of those in the movie. One has to wonder how a thin looking woman with no visible form and build do all that she did.But Angelina Jolie carried this movie. From her Russian accent which to me sounded convincing enough, to her whole performance that came with conviction. That's why the audience were able to follow her and believe her. The rest of the cast rounded up very nicely to tell this spy story.Definitely a very entertaining piece.
