So not only the action sequences are facing challenges, but everything else as well.I can't be sure if it's because what the characters were that brought the difficulty and awkwardness in the storytelling, or just that it wasn't written properly enough from the two fairly inexperienced writers. Or it fairly well could have been both. But a lot of the times I couldn't understand what the characters wanted to convey to the audience until I saw what's happening on screen. Sometimes it's almost like trying to decipher riddles. For the younger audience, this must have been a thrilling ride, especially with the beautifully rendered animation and art, as well as the vivid colours. However, the offerings for adult section were slim pickings. The story felt long even though the running time wasn't. The weren't too many jokes to distract from the dull storyline. And the action sequences were unclear without details - even with multiple slow-motion action that Snyder has so freely inserted until some of them were clearly unnecessary or just too slow. Whenever the owls fought, it was never easy to tell what's going on. Though I did appreciate that there weren't any romance involved - perhaps not yet as I have a feeling a sequel may come. The characters sometimes seemed to have weird accents, or it could be just Jim Sturgess trying out an Aussie accent and not nailing it which was causing the confusion. In the end, it was just an okay experience and could be good to fill time.
