[/caption]I didn't catch the first one, and I could tell there were no introductions to the titular character which I'm sure was in the first instalment. And that's the way sequels should be, I believe.Best thing of the movie was the superb cast. From Maggie Gyllenhaal with a surprisingly well crafted British accent, to the kids - the young and the stuck-up; they all added value to the entirety of the movie with each of their performances. But ultimately, it still catered best to children. The fantasy parts weren't as magical as I would have liked to see, the issues the characters had weren't as well developed; but with all the great acting by the kids they were easily overlooked. However, as an adult, I was bored after the 30-minute mark. After the initial wonder and humour, it got a little repetitive and episodic as the children started working together. And I thought each lesson could have been developed more to give a greater impact on the audience. But I do appreciate how it was a well written script and properly produced.
