[/caption]I am loving how these high school / college movies these days are bringing out the nerds and giving a whole new spin to the storyline. Gone are the days of Clueless and She's All That, don't get me wrong, and I'm OK with that.Emma Stone owned this role and this movie. She was made to play this. She was incredibly funny and definitely made the audience felt for her character. The script itself was genius and clever. It's quite an original piece of writing in a "teen comedy" genre - and this probably was the only reason why the movie stood out.The acting, apart from Amanda Bynes who might have looked a little forced and "safe" (she's better as the "bad" or rebellious girl), but from the rest of the cast was really good. It certainly was fun to see Lisa Kudrow, Thomas Haden Church, Patricia Clarkson and Stanley Tucci involved, and even Fred Armisen's small cameo. Though none of them really shone as brightly as I thought they would have.I don't even like the song but after this movie there's a certain glee whenever I hear the lyrics, "I gotta pocket gotta pocket full of sunshine..."
