I do admit however that the pacing of the movie was quite good. From beginning to end, there's always something to keep the audience attention. Especially with all the suspensful sequences, they could go for quite a long period of time per scene.
The movie was shot in a beautiful locale when they were on topside with the helicopter giving us an aerial view; and when they were underwater, some parts were just as breathtaking as well - though I'm not so sure if those were real.
But what the movie managed to achieve was to bring the audience into the scene and the scenario, hence giving us that claustrophobic suspsense the characters must be facing.
However, the entire movie was marred by bad writing, bad plot and bad dialogue. The lines were horrible but I thought the cast did enough to hide the horrendousness. The acting wasn't half bad, as the actors managed to make everything looked convincing enough.
Most of the plots that led the characters into tough situations were really bad and illogical. It's as if the writing teams were pulling their heads out trying to come up with scenarios to challenge the characters. But, director Alister Grierson almost pulled them off and hiding all the flaws, making everything looked exciting and action-packed.
Now I would have liked this movie a point more if it had ended just three minutes before the actual ending.
