I really am rooting for Brandon Routh. Even though he's still only recognised as Superman (which he should have been given the chance to reprise in Man Of Steel), I'm really rooting for him to do well in everything else because I thought he was brilliant as Sups. But up to this point, all his roles have been really small, even those in bigger movies.
But this one was just bad. Plain shitty bad.
I see what director Kevin Munroe wanted to achieve with it - a throwback style to the 70's (I think) horror genre. But the plot and storyline sequence made no sense at all. The opening scene with Anita Briem's character discovering her father's death, could have been directed with more emotions even though there was a reason for her emotionless expression. The scene introducing Taye Diggs' character was just silly. He saw one guy really getting his groove on on the dance floor and he killed him. What else were you supposed to do on the dance floor anyway?
And scene after scene, nothing made sense. Things and situations written in just for the sake of moving the story along. Hate it. Movies like these shouldn't even be considered by cinemas here. It's just a waste of investment.
