Contagion (7/10)

In true Steven Soderbergh glory, the movie boasts sequences of scene with only background music playing.

I for one found this too much of a good thing, if you see it as a good thing. Unlike the Ocean's Eleven trilogy, where most of it came with scenes inside the casino and showed the what Las Vegas had to offer, in Contagion it was more of telling some bits and parts where otherwise may have easily been left out. But this slowed down the pacing of the movie somewhat. And the soundtrack wasn't particularly interesting too.

The huge cast with A-list names were good, though I wouldn't say anyone was fantastic; except Jude Law who stood out a little bit for me. Each character portrayed had their own story to tell and Soderbergh expertly told each one to its entirety without making anyone seemed left out.

And overall, the story showed very real scenarios as each incident unfold; especially chilling and uncomfortable when the dark side of the human nature began to spring out.
