Colombiana (5/10)

Co-written by Luc Besson, Columbiana reminded me a lot of Leon. But nowhere as good.

Nothing wrong with Zoe Saldana's portrayal. I thought she did well. Brought out the tough chick in her again. One scene even reminded me of Lara Croft.

Cliff Curtis as supporting act was good too. However, not sure what Callum Blue was doing here with an obvious forced accent. His role could have gone to anyone else and it wouldn't have mattered.

The story had a nice plot but very predictable. If there were more action sequences then perhaps this would have been better. For such a genre, I really wanted more action.

But of course, nothing else really mattered as this was all about Saldana and style. If she had more charisma and experience like Angelina Jolie, perhaps she would have made the movie better. Stylistic wise, Olivier Megaton gave ample of it. But perhaps the pacing was a little too slow for my liking.
