The set-up wasn't anything we've never seen before. In fact there have been plenty of body-switching before this.
However, like I said, this one was targetted at guys, all the jokes were very relatable to guys, and they've got all the ingredients down to entertain the average guys. Not to mention when they've got Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds as the leads, two people I really enjoy watching and whom I think are really funny; and they came with amazing chemistry, so I was sold very easily.
I've never enjoyed much of Leslie Mann but here she wasn't annoying at all. I found myself actually rooting for her character. I was very surprised to find her in gratuitous breast shots (but I found her tolerable definitely wasn't because of this!), also a little bit from Olivia Wilde though hers could easily have been body-doubled. But her eyes get me every time I have to say.
The entertainment factor here wasn't really the laugh-out-loud kind. If they had nailed that, my rating would have gone higher. But still, it was a very entertaining movie, although one that would never sit well with critics of course.
And The Change-Up actually made my lazy Sunday afternoon.
