As a fourth instalment, it has become nothing but a recipe with formulae. With no inspiration behind it, there were no sparks; and the whole thing barely entertained.

Even the lovable characters were not as lovable anymore.

New characters that were created to bring new life into the franchise also failed in achieving their goal.

Visually, there was nothing to be in awe about. The story did not reach a climactic peak and just settled very comfortably into a plateau right from the beginning. The jokes were not memorable.

The storytellers had a great chance at driving a crucial message home regarding the love of parents and the rebellious nature of children, but failed to capture on the opportunity. A truly wasted build-up.
