The Bourne Legacy (5/10)

I almost re-watched the first three Bourne movies before I planned to go for this fourth instalment because I remembered watching the last one and was confused because I didn't remember what happened before.

But I doubt even after watching the first three would make this movie any better for me.

It started off very confusingly as I didn't know what was going on with all the political talks, with Treadstone and all that. But once the story became clearer, it helped only a little bit with the enjoyment.

The only good part was in the middle when Jeremy Renner nad Rachel Weisz's characters were on the run together.

But after that, the last chase in the end, from rooftops to street level and then on the bikes, that one chase sequence felt like half an hour. It was even tiring just to watch it.

And I'm not sure about that ga-ga face Weisz was making in the end, just didn't suit her character and the storyline.

I'm making another guess that this is the first of another trilogy. If so, it's not that great a start, rather more like a necessity. Hopefully the next one is better and we'll see more from Edward Norton who wasn't too effective here.
