Frankenweenie (8/10)

I honestly cannot say that this is suitable for the kids. There were quite a few disturbing scenes whenever something was brought back to life, unnaturally.

But I guess I have a soft spot for Tim Burton. I always enjoy his work. And even though the premise of this movie wasn't original, but the whole concept was still Burton's.

There will always be a few things that I do not agree on in how Burton tells his stories. I guess nobody is perfect that way.

And me being nitpicky, there were a few things that didn't go over well with me. One being how after the grave of the dog was being dugged up, Viktor never put it back in. And later in the movie when the boys went around the cemetery looking for "guinea pigs", the grave was as if it was never touched.

And the biggest mistake I thought the whole movie and Burton had made was the ending. I guess they had to satisfy Disney's direction too but I thought it was the wrong ending. Otherwise it would have been more satisfying.

I was never a fan of stop-motion pictures but I found this to be more tolerable.
