Somebody quick give him an Oscar now. His imitation of Willis was just uncanny and every time he came on I could tell he was a younger version of Willis.
Who is Rian Johnson? This guy came out of nowhere and delivered such a wonderful script and direction. He really deserves an Oscar nod as well.
Coincidence that Bruce Willis is in this movie as well as 12 Monkeys? Maybe, because so many times was I reminded of that other awesome sci-fi movie. And I thought it was brilliant to cast WIllis in this role because he is good in this genre.
What would have made this movie perfect was the pacing in the third quarter. I didn't understand why the director chose to spend so much time on the farm but in the end it became clear, which was to achieve the dramatic ending. But that could have been done a bit better because I didn't feel the drama of it all.
Also, I don't think the time travelling part was explained very well. Why did Willis' character had to be sent right there and then? An hour later or earlier would have made a lot of difference. But I think there was an explanation which I've just missed.
Other than that, everything else was just a great and thrilling ride.
