I now truly think that Hong Kong movie industry is only good for political espionage and the likes. Infernal Affairs was a breakthrough and although Cold War wasn't as good, but still at least it was enjoyable.
What it lacked was the writing from writer-director Leung Lok Man and Luk Kim Ching. The storyline and the plot was decent but the dramatic diaologue needed more work.
Especially when Aaron Kwok had a verbal war with Tony Leung, the issue seemed somewhat trivial and two were over-acting; which fell to the writing as it struggled to make things more interesting sometimes.
But overall it was a decent attempt with a good story.
Oh, and Charlie Yeung has a horrible English name in this movie that was such a big distraction.
