The Hangover Part III (7/10)

Go big or go home, I think that was what the producers had in mind after a lukewarm and slightly messy part 2. Although this was definitely the last Hangover outing, but they did go in the direction of "big".

This time the overall feeling to me was more contained and almost achieving that proverbial end-of-a-trilogy.

The sub-cast all appeared, some more briefly than others like Jeffrey Tambor, Sasha Barrese, Heather Graham and Jamie Chung. Any talent there was wasted in their short and limited scenes. Even John Goodman didn't have too much to do. The only great addition I would say was Melissa McCarthy.

The hilarious moments were very few here. But when it was done good, it was done really good. I almost jumped out of my seat out of surprised excitement at one point and that was probably the only high point of the movie.

Other than that, the story this time was easier to follow and less complicated, hence I used the word "contained" earlier. Zach Galifianakis still gave us that character we love to hate and hate to love.
