Director Jimmy Hayward has only three movies so far. Horton Hears A Who! was a hit. Jonah Hex was a miss. In Horton, he didn't write it. He wrote Free Birds. And it was bad.
Direction wise, it wasn't bad. There were parts that were actually good, especially the final act's action sequences. But those were the only parts that woke me up, because for the most part of the movie I was trying to stay awake. And probably failed for 5 to 10 minutes.
What I really disliked about this movie was the script. Nothing about the story interested me at all. But what's worse was the dialogue that just bored me to death.
However, the voice acting had no faults. Especially Woody Harrelson whom I didn't recognise. Owen Wilson was still Owen Wilson. Nothing special there. But then again, that would sum up this whole movie too. "Nothing special there."
