Texas Chainsaw 3D (4/10)

For a director who hasn't done a lot, John Luessenhop's storytelling and direction was quite adequate.

However, when it came to creating editing back and forth between showing the actors in the midst of their "fight scenes" and the props that's being chopped off and such, that's where the inexperienced direction became obvious.

But for the story itself, it still fell into that silly reasonings for the characters to do what they did - just like most of the typical slasher flicks. And that's why the first 2/3 of the movie was a bore. Only the last half an hour was interesting as, even though when predictable, was a different ballgame for the characters.

And Alexandra Daddario was good enough to carry this movie. The camera loves, as I suspected since the first Percy Jackson movie. I'll admit I watched this mainly because of her, and she didn't disappoint. However, I don't think this movie did her any favours even though she was in the starring role. Hopefully for her sake she gets another break other than Percy Jackson and the True Detective series.
