Nathan Fillion Hints Appearance In Guardians Of The Galaxy

If you know Nathan Fillion, then you'll know he's as big a comic geek as any actor in Hollywood. So much so that his fans have been rooting for him to be the next big superhero. Unfortunately, his age no longer allows him the younger roles that a franchise can be built upon.

But hey, if Robert Downey, Jr. can do it, let's not write him off just yet.

There has been some guesses that he could have been Ant-Man as he would fit right into that age bracket; but alas, when the big reveal came it was not to be.

As it were, he has a previous working relationship with directors J. J. Abrams (Avengers) and James Gunn (Guardians Of The Galaxy), so at the St. Louis Comic-Con last weekend he has hinted that he has a part in the August-release of Guardians Of The Galaxy.

How much of a role, I can only hope a significant one. Or at least one that would lead to something bigger in one of the Marvel sequels. However, it could be something that's a throw-away, too.

I've been a fan of Fillion since Two Guys, A Girl, And A Pizza Place. Although I didn't get to catch the short lived but has a strong cult following, Firefly, and I'm still waiting to watch the critically acclaimed Serenity; but I'm currently happily following his work on Castle.

Still, I'd like to see Fillion officially in front of a Marvel logo like the above. I think he's a nice guy, so let's hope this happens soon.
