Sabotage (3/10)

Just by looking at the cast, we have Arnold Schwarzenegger, a bigger Sam Worthington and Terence Howard. Very promising.

Then the other cast members include notable television stars, Joe Manganiello, Josh Holloway and Harold Perrineau ("Lost" members reunited). Very impressive so far.

Rounding off with the feminine touch are Olivia Williams and Mireille Enos. Both very capable actresses.

How did the script get so screwed up for the second half starting with the ridiculousness after the pool scene? It's as if writer-director David Ayer gave up on the writing when he reached that point. It's as if he was forced to put that scene in and that threw everything off for him.

I'm not saying the first half was really good but it had a nice set-up (minus the amazingly baffling fact that people actually found out $10 million were missing even after they blew up the evidence - I just didn't understand that).

I liked how Schwarzenegger is taking on these smaller movies, like The Last Stand which I liked. But the script for the second half was just bad. The ending to the car chase was worse.

So many scenes along the way didn't make sense at all after you know who the bad guy was, especially the individual take-down which just doesn't seem possible.

And for a movie like this, it could have been a little bit shorter too.
