If you haven't seen the trailer for the new first-person-view horror flick, As Above, So Below; have a look as it shows promises for the genre that has not given us anything worthwhile so far this year. (Oculus and The Quiet Ones have both tanked for me.)
Because of the tight and confined spaces that were shown in the trailer, it looks very claustrophobic. Hence, there's an increased in the scare factor, especially through the first-person-view angle.
I'm not sure of the monsters yet, but that final scene looked mighty intriguing.
Starring one actor that I have at least seen a few times, Ben Feldman; who was also in Cloverfield. Directed by John Erick Dowdle who previously brought us Quarantine and Devil. I haven't seen Quarantine but I have heard good things about it. I'll probably see it soon before this one comes out.
And as for Devil, I thought that was quite brilliant as most of the story was told in an elevator - another confined space. So right now, I'm very interested to see what this director has in store for us next.
