Editorial: What Does The Batman v Superman Title Mean?
One of the most popular questions asked about the new Batman v Superman title was, what's with the "v"? Why not "vs" or "Vs" or "&"?
While "v" sometimes is also known as "and", but according to @JohnCampea at AMC Movie Talk, the title is actually from the legal point of view. For example, how a court case is normally referred to is "Plaintiff v Defendant". That's the format it's written in and that's how this title came about.

(The following speculation could potentially be spoiler filled so stop reading now if you don't want to be spoiled.)
So in this case, Batman is the plaintiff and Superman is the defendant. Meaning to say, in this movie, Batman is going after Superman for all the damages that has been wrought in the Man Of Steel movie.
Unlike the other meaning of "v" which means "and", director Zack Snyder has already confirmed that this movie is going to see Batman fight Superman. So it's not a team-up per se, but of course over the course they will become friends. But the guess on the storyline now is that Batman, who has witnessed the horror that Superman has done previously, deems this alien too dangerous to be left running or flying free; takes it upon himself to hunt Superman down so that no further destruction will befall his city.
It does make for a compelling story, and would be interesting to see how the new and younger Lex Luthor fit into all this.
And not forgetting the "Dawn Of Justice" part which very clearly tells everyone that, this movie is the set up for the beginning of Justice League. It's already confirmed Gal Gadot will be playing Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher will be playing Cyborg.
We can only guess who else will make up the rest of the Justice League, which typically will have 5 to 6 superheroes.
Who I would love to see would be Aquaman who I have liked when I was a kid. I would also love to see Ryan Reynolds come back as Green Lantern because the failure of that movie wasn't his fault. He actually makes a good Green Lantern. I wouldn't mind to see Flash too.
However, looking at this official logo, I don't like it. The Superman logo looks okay, but it's this version of the Batman logo with the white edges and the faded background that looks really old, really cheap. There are so many other iterations of this logo on the internet that looks way better. I don't like it and I hope they do something about it.
