There are a handful of veteran actors that can seldom surprise me anymore with their acting capability. And one of them is Denzel Washington. I've seen so many of his movies that I could half expect the facial expressions he would use in his acting now.
Instead of going for something less typical for him, Washington is now back with a character that looks like we've all seen a few times in the recent past; 2 Guns, Safe House, The Book Of Eli, Training Day, American Gangster.
And just like another previous film he did exactly 10 years ago, Man On Fire, with another acting prodigy, Dakota Fanning; Equalizer sees him in teaming up with another hot young actress, Chloe Grace Moretz. The storyline looks kind of similar with the veteran on a mission to rescue the troubled child.
But having said that, this trailer still made me excited for the movie. And I've always enjoyed director Antoine Fuqua's work to a certain degree. The action sequence looked really good. Denzel looked totally badass yet again. And I'm still team Moretz right now so I'm all for this.
