Jeremy Renner Will Return For Mission: Impossible 5

Yes, the next Mission: Impossible sequel will be happening, in case you ever doubted. Well, I wasn't sure.

Set for a 25 December 2015 release, Jeremy Renner is now confirm to make a return to the franchise, alongside Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg. Guesses are that Paula Patton will also reprise her role, though no confirmation as of yet. But chances are, she will be in order to complete the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol team members.

I actually thought Renner will be replacing Cruise after Ghost Protocol, seeing as Cruise is getting older. And bringing in a name like Renner seemed to go in that direction at the time. But Cruise can still deliver, and I still like watching him in action movies.

The only risky thing about this sequel is the release date. To open just one week after Star Wars Episode VII, anything opening with or a week after for that matter, is going to see Star Wars eating into their sales numbers.

And it really depends on what's opening with and the week after Mission: Impossible 5, because that will also determine how much money the movie can make in its release period, worldwide. If it doesn't make enough, then chances for another sequel will be slim.
