Editorial: Will Grimlock Speak In Transformers 4?
Having just seen a new international trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction, my fear for the Tyrannosaurus-Rex Autobot, Grimlock, may be coming true.
Grimlock, one of the most popular names in Transformers among the fans, has been seen in most of the trailers now. But we haven't seen him do anything else other than becoming Optimus Prime's mount.
So that's the fear that I have. How is Michael Bay treating this character. Is he going to get a speaking role or is he going to be just like a mount or a pet? I would like to see him have that limited speaking ability like in the cartoons, "Me, Grimlock, fight back."
But would that work in a live action motion picture?
Or would he at least have a strong personality and character even if he doesn't speak, much like the treatment Bumblebee is getting in this franchise.
Grimlock is a strong character with a temperament that could set him off quickly. He's rough but tough and dependable. Then again, if he's just a fierce mount in this movie, I've also just summed him up with those two sentences.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see. They may not even refer to him as Grimlock...
