Remember Manimal? A man who can transform himself into any animal he wishes and fight crimes? If you don't, no one can blame you as it was short-lived.
I followed this series on TV back in 1983. It was interesting to see what kind of animal he would pick next, but I was always disappointed as it was usually a puma or an eagle if I remembered correctly. Seldom we got to see something new.
As of now, nothing is confirmed except that Sony Pictures Animation is interested to do it, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell are interested to produce it; but not direct or star in it respectively, yet.
The series only ran for 8 episodes, but Ferrell and McKay see the potential for a big-budget action-comedy and hope to bring it to life on the silver screen.
