Deus Ex Gets Predators Writer After Losing Scott Derrickson
Deus Ex, the popular Square-Enix console game title, has sold it's movie rights to CBS Films back in 2012 with director Scott Derrickson attached.
But since Derrickson will be too busy with Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange, he has dropped out of the project. Hence, Predators' writer Michael Finch is brought in to do some rewrites which was originally done by Derrickson.
Other than Predators, Finch hasn't done much in the past in order to get a feel of his writing; but based solely on Predators, I didn't mind that film at all.
Let's wait and see which director will take over this project and then we can get more of an idea what kind of direction this will take.
Deus Ex's story is heavy on technological augmentation on the human form and is set in the near future with a protagonist named Adam Jensen, who used to be part of a SWAT team but is now tasked with solving a global conspiracy.
