Grudge Match (5/10)
What's good about this was to see Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro going at each other from the very beginning and generating some laughs.
What's not good about it was the fight itself wasn't as interesting as a real boxing match would be.
The whole idea of a fight "30 years in the making" was interesting. Both Stallone and De Niro were great at their own boxing movies back in the heyday. And that idea of seeing them doing it again at this age was interesting. But when we actually saw it, not so much.
So a lot hung on the build-up of the fight. That's when a lot of hits and misses happened. The hits were the laughs, the small reminiscence of what each actor could do in the past when they were undergoing training. The misses, all the other subplots involving Jon Bernthal and Kim Basinger.
The only other bright spot was Kevin Hart.
