Not surprising at all. This was bound to get a sequel. Especially word of mouth right now from insiders who have been to the special screenings are all raving reviews.
But at the San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H, Marvel has announced that the sequel will take one of the placeholder dates that Marvel announced earlier in the week.
So the sequel will be released on 28 July 2017. Marvel's dates through to 2019 currently look like this:

6 May 2016 (Captain America 3)
8 July 2016 (Doctor Strange?)
5 May 2017
28 July 2017 (Guardians Of The Galaxy 2)
