Final Resident Evil Delayed For A Year
I started watching Resident Evil only because of Milla Jovovich. What can I say, The Fifth Element's Leeloo was badass and beautiful and cool at the same time. And that was all her.
Fast forward so many years later, she's hardly had a hit other than this franchise. And I've become very indifferent about each installment. I watch it just for the sake of watching it. And her character here is once again badass and cool.
But just a few days ago, Jovovich has announced that Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will once again be delayed, this time for a year; because she and her husband are unexpectedly pregnant.
I'm not sure of the implication this has had with the entire crew who have already started pre-production and ready to be busy with this project for the next one year. All those plans are now being forced to change.
After all this, let's hope we get a good finale to the franchise, if this is indeed the last chapter. Will they kill off her character? That would be the way to go, I say. But knowing Hollywood, they wouldn't dare to pull that plug. They will leave the backdoor unlocked for just-in-case situations.
