Keanu Reeves hasn't had a decent movie in years! I haven't caught Man Of Tai Chi though nobody would argue it's a good movie. And 47 Ronin was one of the most disappointing movies of last year. Will John Wick be any better then?
Written by an unknown Derek Kolstad and directed by stuntman-turned-director, Chad Stahelski - who has been the second unit director for The Hunger Games; this doesn't look like it's got a strong script to say the least. It just looks like a shoot-em-up concept with Reeves as the lone gunman with a lot of guns.
But I'm one of those fans of Reeves that is just waiting for him to create that Matrix or Speed magic once again. If this turns out to be just pure fan and adrenalin, maybe he has a shot (pun intended) at being an action star again.
Also starring in the movie are John Leguizamo, Adrianne Palicki, Willem Dafoe and Ian McShane. It's definitely an interesting line-up but also depends on how much screen time they have.
