1) The Purge: Anarchy
The first Purge movie was financially very successful, helped that it had a very small budget. Though I questioned the concept and morals (or there-lack-of) in the story, I have to admit it was well done.
So the producers quickly decided that they would still bank in on the name and create another story, this time with a whole new cast. I thought this would be the right way to go, to tell a similar story based on the same premise but through a different point of view.
2) A Walk Among The Tombstones
I saw this trailer when I went to watch The Maze Runner. It's another Liam Neeson action movie. Even his character felt like this is a sequel of Taken.
Neeson can do no wrong in this type of role. We've all seen the other "sequel" of Taken called Non-Stop, and even when the movie wasn't that great but he was great in it. I'm sure this will be the case as well.
But again, the premise of A Walk Among The Tombstones just didn't look that good so far. It could be another Non-Stop, and I'm wondering if Neeson has been pigeon-holes into this character. Hopefully the movie will show something more from Neeson, and I'll be sure to catch it first.
I almost thought I heard Neeson re-used the phrase, "I have a very particular set of skills." That's just how familiar it feels.
