Assassin's Creed And Fantastic Four Reboot Delayed
On the heels of the announcement by 20th Century Fox that they are developing the long-awaited Deadpool movie, it was also revealed that two of their movies will be delayed.
Assassin's Creed, starring Michael Fassbender, based on the popular video game franchise, has been booted off the 7 August 2015 release date.
Taking this spot will be the Marvel property Fantastic Four; which also means a delay for the release of the reboot, albeit a much smaller one compared to the former. Its previous release date was slated for 19 June 2015.
No word yet from Fox as to the cause for the delays, but leaving Assassin's Creed without a release date is definitely worry-some. It seems that the movie is still stuck in the development stages with no director attached, so it just wouldn't be able to make the release date of summer next year.
As for Fantastic Four, this 1-and-a-half-month delay could give director Josh Trank a little more breathing room for post-production to fine-tune the CGI involved. So it's not too bad of a news if it's for the betterment of the movie outcome.
