Third Taken Movie Announces Title
"I have a very particular set of skills." Liam Neeson will be back to employ those skills in the franchise for one last time, alleges the actor.
A new title has been announced, and that's Tak3n.
Took me a minute when I first saw it to realise what tit was or what it meant - because this is such a terrible idea for the title. It kind of breaks the consistency from the first two titles. Plus it's not smart or clever, it's actually outdated.
Granted Taken 2 wasn't as good of a movie as the first one was, with this new and supposed final instalment (we all know how fickle Hollywood is these days), the aim of everyone involved is to make a better film.
If it does really well come opening weekend and overseas sales, maybe they will do a fourth one.
Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen from both predecessors are back with the third script, and Olivier Megaton is back for seconds in the director's chair.
I think I enjoyed Taken 2 more than most of the critics out there. I'm fine with Megaton coming back to helm it again. I just hope the script from the writers this time is better as that was the weakest part in an otherwise very entertaining second movie.
Joining the cast of the returning alumni of Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen are Forest Whitaker and Dougray Scott.
The movie will open on 15 January 2015 and may be the biggest movie of that dead zone month.
