After all the ups and downs from The Hateful Eight and Quentin Tarantino, the movie development now is well on its way as Tarantino has found his lead in Jennifer Jason Leigh.
I have yet to watch The Spectacular Now and I don't watch the Revenge TV series (yet), so the last time I saw Leigh was in Weeds. Leigh is a fantastic actress who's been around in the industry for a while now, so her star power isn't as what it was used to.
But Tarantino doesn't cast actors based on star power. He's someone who marches to the beat of his own drum and he has known to alleviate careers because he knows how to bring the best out of his actors (think John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Uma Thurman) . So if the movie does well, Leigh may become an A-lister; especially when Tarantino is red hot now.
The Hateful Eight is still without a fixed release date but tentatively will be late 2015.
