Tomorrowland started as a Disney theme inside Disneyland. And now it's turned into a movie by writers Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird and Jeff Jensen.
The first two names would be more familiar to movie or TV fans. Lindelof was the creating mind behind TV series Lost, and then transitioned into movies with World War Z and Star Trek: Into Darkness. Bird is one of Disney's darlings, who wrote and directed The Incredibles and also helmed Ratatouille and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
The script must be good one for them to land George Clooney. And I am fascinated to see what these two can do together.
This first trailer definitely brings the "wow" punch. It certainly looks like a Lindelof story, and the brief visual parts remind me of Bird's The Incredibles.
It's also good to see Britt Robertson finally has a good role in a high profile movie. She has been the star of many TV series because she has the talent. Now let's see her in a movie.
Tomorrowland will be released 22 May 2015, and also includes Hugh Laurie, Kathryn Hahn, Judy Greer, Tim McGraw and Keegan Michael Key (he's everywhere, isn't he).
