Kingsman Delayed But With Promising Feedback

There has been a few shift of dates already for Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman. I was a little worried that by moving the release date from a prime slot of October and November, usually contenders for Oscars considerations, to 13 February 2015 would be a sign of an impending failure (like what's happening with the Wachowski's Jupiter Rising).

In fact, Kingsman: The Secret Service was supposed to be the first ever movie reviewed by The Reel Show on its official launch last month. I was surprised when it was pulled off the original release date so we had to go with Fury instead (which wasn't bad at all).

Vaughn, who's brought us Stardust and great comic book movies like Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class (and was also one of the reasons why X-Men: Days Of Future Past was another great success), has taken another Mark Miller's comic book creation and bringing it to the silver screen.

But after screening for critics in the UK, the early word for the movie has been compared to another fan-favourite, Kick-Ass; while words used to describe the movie were "audacious", "psychotic" and "bat-shit crazy"!

The movie boasts a cast of Colin Firth, Michael Cain, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong and Mark Hamill.

Vaughn has impressed me 4 out of the 5 movies he's directed. The fifth one was because I've never seen it (Layer Cake). So now with faith restored, I can't wait for this to arrive.
