Any surprises Toy Story 4 is in the works? The third one was a big success, but it was the least favourite one for me by a mile. So I actually didn't mind if it ended there.
However, it is being reported that Toy Story 4 will see John Lasseter returning to direct. He was the one who did the first two, which I really liked. But he also directed Cars 2, which I didn't care for at all.
There will also be a new writing team that will include Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, both known more for their acting careers than writing. This will be interesting. On the one hand, it will be good to get some fresh ideas from newcomers; and on the other, these two writers don't really have too much writing credits to their names.
Toy Story 4 is slated for a 16 June 2017 release date.
