Al Pacino Talking With Marvel
This is how powerful the Marvel brand is right now.
If you remember a report about Al Pacino being interviewed after coming out of the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, where he admitted that he only watched that Marvel movie because his children wanted to go.
But he was raving about the quality of the story and the production.
And now, in another interview, Pacino has confirmed that he has met with Kevin Feige saying, "It's a marvel how things happen. I would imagine that either there's something he feels is right for me, or..." Then his phone started ringing and he joked, "Every time we talk about Marvel, that's what happens."
Al Pacino is a heavyweight in Hollywood. For him to even meet with Feige, for him to even consider appearing in a Marvel movie, says a lot about a genre that has always been regarded as a substance-less movie.
And it's all because of Marvel and how Feige stood firm in believing that marrying the comic book world with top-notch storytelling and direction was the way to go to bring these superhero characters to the next level in the cinematic universe.
If Pacino does appear in future Marvel movies, be it Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 or Avengers 3, he won't be the only Hollywood legend that has made the crossover from serious films to the comic book genre. For Marvel has already featured Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and also Michael Douglas will be appearing in Ant-Man next summer.
