Bautista And Carano Join The Kickboxer Remake

Last week I voiced my doubt about whether or not the remake of Kickboxer will be a good one given that they don't have big names in the cast other than Jean-Claude Van Damme in a supporting role.

But then Dave Bautista was added into the mix. And now Gina Carano has also just signed on.

I'm in no way saying that with these two names added, this will be a promising movie. These two would hardly make a difference when it comes to the overall quality of the movie. However, Carano is one of the most badass female MMA athlete out there and her name is not as unfamiliar because of the few movies that she did. Even though she's not a strong actress, hopefully she has gotten better by now.

And then there's Bautista, who everyone and their parents (like Al Pacino) saw him in Guardians Of The Galaxy. He's also the next Bond movie's henchman for the antagonist.

So with the addition of these two, even though they don't bring the talent and chops, but they do give the movie a bit more recognisable faces.

Plus judging from the cast alone, I think it's safe to say that this won't be a dramatic movie but more of an action movie.
