We've seen James Franco and Jonah Hill together in a movie before, but True Story is a serious drama-thriller kind of movie.
I thought this first trailer was cut very well. If you're familiar with Franco and Hill, your first instinct might be to expect them to be funny. But from the opening of the trailer, I didn't get that at all.
Hill looks great in this movie. And his character's relationship with Franco reminds me a lot of the premise for Gone Girl. Also starring Felicity Jones.
Based on the memoir of Michael Finkel, adapted by David Kajganich and Rupert Goold, directed by Goold as his first theatrical debut; this looks like it's going to be a good one for 2015.
And let's see if Hill will get 3 for 3 Oscar nomination by turning dramatic once again.
