As I wanted to find out more about Extraterrestrial that's currently showing in the local cinemas, I checked out who made the movie and came across filmmakers The Vicious Brothers (Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz).
The duo had made a name for themselves with their debut movie, Grave Encounters, in which they wrote as well. And it has now gathered somewhat of a cult following. Naturally, I got curious.
But unfortunately, I was not impressed at all. I could see what they wanted to do with their storytelling but it didn't work for me.
The premise was very simple, but the scares and the spirits didn't make any sense for being there, nor their appearance.
There really wasn't a story to follow, just jumping from one suspense to another. Only the ending was a little bit stronger, but just visually; not psychologically or thought provoking.
So if this was their best work, I'm giving Extraterrestrial a pass.
